LAKE Hume: The fishos who out doing the hard yards are being rewarded with yellowbelly, redfin and trout. They should ensure that they do not take any cod they catch out of the water — even for a picture — because they are in possession of a fish out of season and can and will be fined. Big worms are proving the best bait for the yellow-belly. Redfin are being taken home. Trout are taking a liking to anything pink. If it’s a tassie, the new all-pink are doing well with big trout. Most of the trout are one to three kilograms. Get your photos in to win a prize. If you would like to hear Off the Hook on Saturdays from 7 to 8am visit sen.com.au/mediaplayer.

Lake Dartmouth: Pink, pink, or more pink is the lure colour working for trout. Some are being caught near the top in three to five metres of water but most are down at 10 to 15 metres. The worms and mudeyes are also getting trout — I’ve seen some nice eating ones that were caught from the Eight mile area. Girls, remember to phone Robyn on (02) 6072 4233 or Lorrae on (02) 6072 4263 to register to fish in the Dartmouth Women’s Fishing Classic on November 14 to 15. If you are looking for big worms (scrubbies), phone Paul at Worm Planet on 0423 022 108, he has good ones.
Murray River: There are some good trout from the weir wall to Albury.
