LAKE Hume: If you are after a feed of yellow-belly you are in the right spot. Some trout are still being caught ranging in size between 450 grams and 3.2 kilograms, most are browns but with a rainbow trout now and again, and if you look in right spot you could get yourself a feed of redfin. Some cod have been caught and let go back into the water — do not take them out of the water, even to take a photo, as you are in possession of a fish out of season and can and will be fined. The fish are mostly being caught with scubbies and lures, but have a go at what you have and see what you can get to take home for a feed.

Most of the rivers and creeks are still not fishing that good as there are no trout in them, but Fisheries are looking at that and some are being stocked with brown trout to get them going again. If you get a brown trout let it go.
Lake Dartmouth: This week the fishermen have had a ball, with a lot of good trout being caught in the top 3-4.5 metres, as well as down at 9-14 metres. Most have been caught on worms and pink tassies, but have a go with what you’ve got.
