The event is a great chance to honour the great range of businesses that gives this region its vibrancy.
It recognises the leading performers among new, small, medium and large businesses, as well as the specialist categories of innovation, environmental sustainability, hospitality, leisure and retail, manufacturing, commercial; and workplace health.
Importantly, there are categories for the most outstanding young business person and a Hall of Fame award for a long-term commitment to the region.
One young woman, Laura Chanter from Twin City Roller Doors, impressed judges with her leadership skills and passion for business at an age when many young people are still pondering their career options.
At the other end of the spectrum was Hall of Fame winner, Rosalie Martin, who has headed her family’s transport and travel business for 30 years after the untimely death of her husband, Frank.
We congratulate our outstanding business, Rice Graphic Images, all other winners and all the finalists and entrants who offered themselves for judging.
