Magistrate Tony Murray made the comment about Anna Leise Felmingham when convicting her on three shoplifting charges and a charge of having goods in custody.

Mr Murray adjourned a fourth shoplifting offence against Felmingham, 28, of Melgaard Court, until next Monday with a direction the court registrar notify her about it.

Police facts tendered in one shoplifting offence indicate she is a single mother of four children, who do not reside with her.

But she has also been charged under the name of Annie Felmingham with an address in Trudewind Road provided to police.

Another set of police facts say she is the mother of five children who she supports to varying degrees.

Felmingham went to Officeworks in Albury on September 20 and stole three hard drives and two boom speakers valued at $656 from a shelf.

She was accompanied by another woman at Priceline in Albury about 2.30pm on September 21.

Felmingham was carrying an empty bag and walked out of the store about 10 minutes later.

A total of 79 items of fragrances and cosmetics worth $1869.82 were taken.

Three days later, the store manager tried to locate some fragrances and found they were missing.

She realised two women had been acting suspiciously and checked closed circuit footage which showed them taking items from shelves.

The footage was shown to police the following day and they recognised Felmingham.

A stock report was prepared by the manager and Felmingham admitted to police she stole items.

She went to Cotton On in Albury on September 26, but the manager became suspicious about her.

Felmingham had an empty green bag when she went inside and claimed she had lost her car keys.

She said she was going outside to look for them, but the manager followed her and asked to check her bag.

Felmingham handed over clothing valued at $139.75.

Later the same day police saw Felmingham sitting in a vehicle and searched it finding goods with a value of $3215.
