The woman, who asked not to be named, was woken by a loud bang about 3.20am as the windows shattered from the Kia Carnival.
She tried to extinguish the blaze using a garden hose, but the vehicle was destroyed.
A rag stuffed into the petrol tank inlet appears to have been the source of the fire.
The 41-year-old woman — who has children aged three to 15 — said there was no reason she would be targeted.
“I heard a bang and opened the door to see flames,” she said.
“I need the car for everything, for the kids.
“There’s a supermarket in Thurgoona, but that’s about it.
“It’s like being in the middle of nowhere.”
The Feathertop Circuit resident does not have money to buy a new vehicle, and the car was uninsured.
“It’s the only thing I owned more or less other than furniture,” she said.
“Police think it might be a random attack and there’s no reason I would be targeted.
“They’re just self-centred, selfish little bastards.”
The woman recently spent money on fixing the vehicle.
Nearby residents moved their cars as the fire took hold to stop them catching fire.
“I’m in shock,” the mother said.
“It’s my only form of transport.”
The woman said flames had risen about 10 metres high and described the scene as “hectic”.
Police are investigating the matter.
