The northbound lane of the Freeway, within sight of the Twin City truck centre and between the McKoy Street intersection and Melrose Drive exit, was closed for several hours after a collision between two cars around 6.30am. 

Police and emergency services attended the scene and four people are believed to have been taken to hospital. 

Firefighters remain on-scene as the clean-up continues.
