False enrolments and vote frauds have been problems for years and both sides of politics when in government have been reluctant to plug loopholes or improve the electoral commission.
It is not just Australians for Honest Elections who thinks the rolls are in a “sad and sorry state”.
The Australian National Audit office reports of 2002, 2004, 2010 and 2014 all question the integrity of the rolls run by the Australian electoral commission, jointly with state electoral authorities.
Seeing as your article gave some of my political history, I ask to clarify a few things.
Citizens Electoral Council was started by some decent Queensland farmers, but I left it 23 years ago when an American took over.
Through my service in the One Nation and the Liberal Party, I learned that those of left-wing political views do not like or tolerate those of right-wing views and use foul means, including vote fraud, to get rid of them.
Australia is fortunate to have freedom of speech and a free press through which a diversity of political ideas may be aired.
Long live democracy and fair elections.
