Goodall enjoyed a stellar season with Pennant Hills to win the competition’s Phelan Medal and found his way to Albury Sportsground on the recommendation of former Tiger Lloyd Shepherd.
Goodall and Shepherd played in Pennant Hills’ grand final loss to Manly last month.
Henty forward Ryan Hon will also play at the sportsground next year, which will help off-set the loss of Andy Carey and Tom Yates (The Rock-Yerong Creek).
Forward Josh Maher is also unlikely to play with the Tigers next season, with a host of district league clubs chasing his signature.
Meanwhile, Wodonga coach Dean Harding is optimistic a beefed-up football department will equal more on-field success.
In a string of changes for the Bulldogs, Zane Doubleday and Aaron West have been appointed to run a fitness and leadership program while Darren Mathey will return to John Flower Oval as reserve grade coach.
Gavin Chesser will be Mathey’s assistant.
Former Wodonga captain Danny Cohen has taken over as a senior assistant coach and runner.
Mark Wallace has joined Wodonga’s coaching staff to assist youngsters in the transition from junior to senior football with Mauro Stefani re-appointed as thirds coach.
Harding said yesterday it was an important step for Wodonga.
“We really want to tick some boxes off the ground,” he said.
“I think it’s important we put a really good fitness program into place and Zane and Aaron will be fantastic.
“I’m really happy with the appointments we have been able to put into place.”
Harding said the Bulldogs hoped to announce several recruits in coming weeks, with training to start on November 10 under himself and playing assistant coach John Pratt.
