The team that has played in five of the six past grand finals and won four of them fell victim to the juggernaut that is Yarrawonga Mulwala on Sunday.
After struggling to 115 from their 40 overs, the Lakers then put them to the sword in amassing almost 180.
Yarrawonga captain Matthew Knight and his former Mooroopna teammate Paul Marshall score 36 and 56 with the bat respectively. Knight also took 2-19 off his eight overs to frank his claim on the competition’s best player.
The good news for Bruck is that they play the winless Greta this weekend in the first of the two day clashes of the summer.
