George joins Brad Chalmers’ line-up after three seasons with the Chargers where he averaged 20 points, four rebounds and four assists and had a reputation as one of the league’s most explosive players.
He also has experience in the QABL and NBL.
Eaton was the starting guard in the Hobart Lady Chargers’ conference title-winning run this year, averaging 8.5 points, three rebounds and two assists per game.
Chalmers said the duo would be huge assets for the men and women’s teams.
“Having both players agree to sign is fantastic news and they were very committed to the plan we presented to them from the first time we spoke,” Chalmers said.
“They were excited about the direction, energy and professionalism of (our) programs, along with the challenges and expectations (they) will face.
“I know both Deba and Ashton are really looking forward to a new start and the opportunity of playing key roles in the future of our teams.
“At the end of the day, both individuals really wanted to come to the club and help push the teams towards successful seasons in 2015.”
The Lady Bandits recently appointed American Michael Brookens as coach, with the former WNBL assistant saying he was eager to make immediate inroads after the club endured a nightmare 1-23 wooden spoon season this year.
George and Eaton are expected to arrive on the Border in January.
