Underworld figure Mick Gatto traded punches with three-time world boxing champion Anthony "The Man" Mundine in a full-size ring in the lounge room of his Lower Plenty home on Saturday.

It's just days out from what has been dubbed the "fight of the year" between Mundine and undefeated European champ from Belarus Sergey Rabchenko at Hisense Arena on Wednesday.
Mundine is training with sponsor Gatto and sparring with light welterweight champion Lenny Zappavigna, who is also fighting a world title eliminator.
"This fight here for Anthony Mundine is probably one of the biggest in Australia's history because if he wins it's an automatic eliminator for [Floyd] Mayweather or [Saul] Alvarez," Gatto said.
"If we could lure them to come to this country it would be 100,000 people at the MCG to watch it. It would be beamed around the world to millions of people."
Gatto conceded Rabchenko was a formidable opponent
"He's had 28 fights and he's won 25 by knockout so he's a big puncher.
"But Mundine looks pretty lean, he looks pretty fit and he's raring to go. He's very confident ... he's always confident anyway.
"It'll be great for Australia to get behind this because it's gonna be great for Australian boxing."
