TALLANGATTA snapped its three-match losing streak with a surprise 28-run victory over St Patrick’s in their CAW provincial clash at Xavier Oval on Saturday.

The Bushies again showed they cannot be underestimated in one-day cricket by making 7-215 before bowling their opponents out for 187 in the 46th over.
Skipper Mat Armstrong described the win as a “confidence booster” after the club had struggled to settle a team in the opening rounds.
“It was a really good team effort,” Armstrong said.
“A lot of our batsmen made between 20 and 50 and the bowlers all bowled good lines as well.
“We have had five players out each week so it’s been a tough start to the season.
“It was good to get a win on the board.”
Tallangatta was still missing Fraser Bremner and Ned McCormack, but put a competitive score on the board through good batting from James Weighell, Sam Stephens and Tim Farrant in the final overs.
The Patties made a solid start but were forced to take risks when the run rate slowed and Nathan Thompson (3-30) cashed in.
Wodonga overcame a dramatic top-order batting collapse to defeat Wodonga Raiders by four wickets at Birallee Park.
After bundling out the home team for 42 on a poor wicket, the Bulldogs experimented with their batting order and found themselves reeling at 6-20.
James Tonkin and Dan Dixon then came together and safely guided Wodonga to victory.
Bulldog quick Brendan Klein-Boonschate made the most of the conditions to grab 6-14 while Raiders’ youngster Liam Hocking claimed 4-17.
East Albury downed Belvoir by three wickets at Alexandra Park.
The Crows bowled their opponents out for 207 in the final over and chased down the target with four overs to spare thanks to strong performances from Hayden Coulson (48no), Nick Hanlon (31) and James McNeil (29).
Aleem Mahmood, Alex Popko and Dylan Weeding also played handy knocks in the chase.
Belvoir’s innings was based around Mick Spiteri (47) and John Spencer (54), while McNeil captured 5-56 off his 10 overs.
