But he was also looking forward to getting back to his Moyle Park Cattle Stud at Jamestown in South Australia and catching up on sleep and work.
“It’s been a couple of weeks and there’s still a week or so to go,” Mr Daley said the day after the international conference in Albury.
Mr Daley made his comments while helping to host those on the tour, at the Eurimbla Red Polls stud at Gerogery.
“I’m extremely proud of how the conference went and the way everyone has gelled during the tour. It’s been very good for the breed, with the exchange of ideas, the making of new genetic contacts and planning work on strategies for the breed.”
Karl Wellington, an animal geneticist and beef producer from Knockpatrick, Jamaica, is on his sixth trip to Australia and this was his second congress.
“I love Australia, it is very orderly — and the people who I meet and interact with,” Dr Wellington said.
Dr Wellington was travelling with his wife Bloom and daughter Heather.
