They are being caught using worms, yabbies and small spinnerbaits.
Some good feeds of redfin about the 200 gram size have been caught; also the brown trout are still being got up to three kilograms with worms and lures and they are fat.
So if you are looking for a nice feed of yellowbelly go for one out of the river.
Lake Hume: Well the fishing was a bit slow this week on the lake, but some fish were caught — yellows, redfin and trout — but some fishos did not catch a fish.
Don’t give up, the fish are there, just be out fishing with your baits and lures and see how you go.
This week we put in 7500 more rainbow trout and on Monday some more 7500 rainbows will go into the lake.
That will be 32,000 more trout we have put in this year.
All up 30,000 brown trout and 62,000 rainbow trout for the year.
Lake Dartmouth: Well the girls should be getting some trout up there in the Dartmouth Women’s Fishing Classic so they can get some of the many good prizes.
