Up to 2000 people are expected to attend the family event with their four-legged friends.
About 30 exhibitors including dog washers, vets and kennel and food retailers will make up a market place for pets and their owners.
The day is put on by Albury Council, Mars Petcare, Petstock Lavington and 2AY.
Albury Council compliance officer Carly McDougall said people were encouraged to take advantage of free microchipping on the day.
“It’s all about socialising your pet and promoting responsible pet ownership,” she said.
“We investigate so many dog attacks every year, so the more you socialise your animal the less of a chance there is they will be aggressive.”
And for those who are worried about the heat, there will be snowcones not only for the people, but for their pets too.
Dog trainer Brydie Charlesworth will be offering free behaviour and training advice.
“Training your dog gives you a much better bond with them and makes them better behaved in public and around the home, which then makes you want to do more things with them,” she said.
The day starts at 10am, with a pet parade at 10.30am followed by a furry friends walk along the river at 11am.
