With wine, beer and coffee flowing under a beaming sun, Wodonga TAFE is hoping to give people a taste of what’s to come.
TAFE is taking advantage of the change of season to introduce people to the trades they may want to take up in the future.
Events co-ordinator Katie Shalevski said she hoped the Dreaming Of Summer community day would attract about 5000 participants.
“It’s important for people to understand studying at TAFE shouldn’t be a last resort but the first option,” she said.
Demonstrations from those involved in the hospitality, creative industries, agriculture and horticulture sectors will be held at the event.
Mrs Shalevski said the main aim of the day was to raise funds for Albury Wodonga Regional FoodShare.
The organisation delivers about 33,400 individual meals to disadvantaged people on the Border every week.
Mrs Shalevski said the goal was to raise about $8000 for the cause.
The Wodonga campus event starts at 11am; gold coin donation.
