The 45-year-old had been wanted by police for failing to appear on bail, threat to cause serious injury, stalking, assaults, a bomb hoax, threats to destroy property and making false reports to police.
Wodonga police said the driver had not co-operated during his arrest.
He suffered minor grazes and cuts but declined assistance from ambulance officers.
He gave police a false name after he was arrested and taken to the police station.
The man was first spotted about 8pm in a yellow Ford Falcon in central Albury.
Witnesses reported he had been speeding and doing burnouts along Dean, Smollett and Kiewa streets.
It is alleged he hit several other cars and rammed a police car before leading police on a pursuit into Victoria.
The driver was apprehended on the Lincoln Causeway bridge over Wodonga Creek.
He will face an additional eight charges for reckless conduct endangering serious injury, driving a motor vehicle when directed to stop, exceed speed limit, use of an unroadworthy vehicle, driving in a manner dangerous, stating false name when requested, refuse to undergo assessment for drug impairment and driving an unregistered motor vehicle.
The man was released on bail and is due to face Wodonga Magistrates Court on February 2.
His licence was suspended until he faced court.
