A series of lightning strikes saw power cut to homes in East Albury, North Albury and Lavington about 6.30pm last night.
An Essential Energy spokesperson said most customers had their power restored by 7.30pm with all homes restored by 9.15pm after 26 millimetres of rain fell in Albury yesterday.

More than 700 homes in Culcairn and Holbrook also lost electricity during that period.
A large chunk of North East Victoria was also affected by the storms with homes in Wangaratta, Benalla, Mount Beauty and Yackandandah among those to briefly suffer power outages.
An SP Ausnet spokesperson said 25 customers at Browns Plains were still without power at 10pm last night.
