Albury City Council meetings are definitely not the place to be expressing such personal views, which have nothing to do with the running of the city of Albury and are purely a very personal view.
I object strongly to this being tabled at any council meeting.
I am sure when Ross Jackson was campaigning to be elected to council that this was not made known to the voting public of Albury that if elected he was going to use this as a very personal platform for his point of view.
This is so wrong on so many levels, whether you are for gay marriage or not this is definitely not the place for such opinions.
Councillors would be far more productive if they all agreed on the CCTV on Dean Street and other troubled areas around the city where this would benefit us all.
