Key all-rounder James Tonkin was ruled out after suffering an injury in Friday night’s Big Bash.
“I am very happy with our squad,” Ball said.
“Injuries haven’t helped with Aleem Mahmood and Tonkin out, but we still have class in (David) Farrell and (James) McNeil and I’m looking forward to unleashing our batting line up.
“We were hoping to have Tonk in the side, but unfortunately he can’t catch properly.”
CAW is still waiting to see who it will face between Wagga or Murray Valley due to their wash out last week, but Ball said he would have to be wary of either team.
“I don’t really care who we play,” he said.
“Both have some handy players — Jono Nichol from Wagga has played second XI while in Canberra and if we play Murray Valley Luke Carters has played Vic Country.
“He is as good as I have seen around here, he’s a freak.”
CAW made it to the final eight last year and made the final the year before.
“It would be disappointment to not win this week and make through to the final eight again,” Ball said.
“But from our games so far we need to improve our batting — we have been hit and miss and we need to make Sunday a hit.
Also on Sunday the under-23 Colts side will play the Country Shield. The squad will be released on Thursday.
