The meeting has so far attracted 120 nominations with entries for some races extended until 11am today.
The $25,000 Ted Ryder Cup is the feature race and one of the highlights on the Southern District Racing summer calendar.
The feature race has attracted some talented Riverina performers, including Devised, Price Of Glory, Art Thou Ready, Grand Allowance, Gunner and Arctic Grey.
Canberra raiders Lord Of The Isles and Meticulously are also among the entries.
Border trainers dominated the feature last year with the Brett Cavanough-trained Prince Pedro defeating the Brian Cox-trained Full Hand.
Price Of Glory will be out to hand Cavanough back-to-back wins; he finished 10th in the Wodonga Cup at his most recent start.
SWEET Emily has been relegated to second spot in the 55 Second Challenge at Moonee Valley.
Trained at Jerilderie by Phil Sweeney, Sweet Emily was overtaken by the Brett Stanley-trained Beach Front, who claimed the eighth heat of the 16-race series last Friday night.
Sweet Emily finished third in the heat as the $2-favourite.
Beach Front ran a sizzling 55.08 for the 955-metre dash to eclipse Sweet Emily’s previous best time of 55.18.
The trainer of the horse that records the fastest time wins a $70,000 Jeep.
LEADING amateur hoop Rebeka Prest has joined the Southern District jockey ranks.
Prest is stable apprentice to Wagga trainer Chris Heywood and is set to have her first professional ride at Tumut on Boxing Day.
She is ineligible to claim after notching over 80 winners on the picnic circuit.
Prest will be able to ride on the minimum weight of 54 kilograms.
