News of this theft comes soon after a Wodonga teen had his bike stolen last weekend.
The Baranduda family has been devastated by their loss and have cancelled their holiday.
Father-of-seven David Stoffels says it will be a bitter Christmas with the family unable to afford to replace the children’s gifts.
Adding insult to injury, the thieves also harmed the family’s pet dogs during the theft, spraying them in the eyes with pepper spray.
Police are now making the December 2 break-in public in an effort to catch those responsible and recover some of the items for the Stoffels family.
Perhaps there are others out there who have been offered the presents or tools or they know something about the possible perpetrators.
If that’s the case, then they should immediately contact the police and hopefully finding the thieves will allow the Stoffels family to have a better Christmas than the grim event they are now facing.
