Officers released a photo of 19-year-old Wodonga resident Steven Hyatt yesterday in a bid to track him down.
He is wanted over an outstanding warrant after breaching bail and was last known to be staying at Ruby Road on December 12.
Bail was granted in court before magistrate John O’Callaghan last month.
Solicitor Greg Duncan based his bail application on the need for Hyatt to have plastic surgery on his ear, which has a large part missing after being bitten off.
He has been charged with four counts of sexual penetration with a person aged under 16 after allegedly grooming teenage girls on Facebook.
Part of the bail conditions imposed on Hyatt banned him from using a phone with internet capacity, operating a Facebook account and using social media.
He was also banned from having contact with girls under 16 and had to submit his phone for police inspection.
Mr O’Callaghan raised concerns Hyatt would “groom and be predatory to young woman on social media” during last month’s bail application and said the charges were “at the very upper end of seriousness”.
Officers believe Hyatt knows police are seeking him and said he was “actively evading capture”.
He is about 170 centimetres tall, has straight light brown hair, brown eyes, and a medium build.
Anyone who sees Hyatt should phone triple-0.
