Bogart-King averaged 10.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game while hitting 54.6 per cent of his field goal attempts in his debut season for the Border club, having made the step up from the Big V competition.
The 200-centimetre forward scored a season-high 21 points in the round 10 loss to Ballarat and will be a key component off the bench this year.
It has been a big off-season for Albury-Wodonga, with only Michael Watson, Matt de Koeyer, Jacob Cincurak, Josh McKay and Bogart-King remaining from last year’s team.
The Bandits have signed two new US imports in Cory Dixon and Donte Nicholas, while Australian star Deba George, Waratah league MVP Daniel Sepokas and Townsville Crocodiles centre Claybrin McMath have also agreed to join.
Bandits coach Brad Chalmers was pleased with Bogart-King’s return, saying the forward still had plenty of development to come.
“He had a solid year last season in what was a step up from playing in the Big V,” he said.
“I know he felt like he could have achieved more, both individually and for the team at times, but overall we were pleased with his first season and we were keen to continue building on that.
“Alex was very committed to returning from the first time I spoke to him and really likes what we have done with our recruiting.
“He has assured me he will do whatever it takes to be a part of a successful team.”
The SEABL released its 2015 fixture yesterday, with the Bandits to open the season at home to the Canberra Gunners on Saturday, April 11.
The Lady Bandits have a first-round bye and will start their campaign with a tough home-road double against Bendigo and Nunawading on April 17 and 18.
