A MAN and a woman will face court today after a 17-year-old girl was abducted from her car in Withers on Sunday morning, January 18.

South West Detectives officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Dom Blackshaw said the girl was sitting in a vehicle on Ocean Drive near Roscommon Place at 10.55am when she was dragged out of the car by two people.
Senior Sergeant Blackshaw said the girl was forced into another vehicle and driven away from the scene.
He said the girl was held captive for several hours and was assaulted before being released by the pair.
She took herself to Bunbury Regional Hospital for treatment and left later in the day with her parents.
A 57-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were taken into custody and had their bail refused.
They are due to face Bunbury Magistrates Court today charged with deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm.
South West Detectives are continuing inquiries into the incident.
