The Thurgoona resident has the longest continual years of service with the Albury and District Private Nursing Home in Logan Road.
For the past six months she has been organising lifestyle activities for the residents.
Carpet bowls, manicures and bingo are among the activities.
“We also take them on trips, it’s good to get them out of their rooms for a bit,” she said.
“We become family to them, it’s not just a job.
“My biggest reward is a smile on their faces.”
Her 30-year milestone was celebrated with an afternoon tea yesterday where she was surprised to see past staff and families among the crowd.
“It was great to see some old familiar faces,” she said.
Mrs McMahon was a kitchen assistant and cook for 14 ½ years before going on to laundry work for 15 years.
For most of the time the nursing home was located in David Street and called Tanderra.
“We have been in our new building about six months now, it’s lovely and new and the residents just love it,” Mrs McMahon said.
