The rugged hooker will be joined by teammates James Olds, Richard Manion, Liam Krautz, Arran Macdougall and Ash Lefevre for the game at the Equex Centre, Wagga.
The Southern Inland Rugby Union City Rams will play a country side made up of players from Griffith, Tumut, Hay, Temora, Deniliquin, Cootamundra and Young.
Organisers are expecting a crowd of upwards of 5000 for a game that will include 13 of the current Wallabies.
Boyle, who played rep rugby last winter, trained for the first time with the city squad on Thursday night,
The former Territorian, who came to the Steamers in their 2013 undefeated season, said it was good to blow out a few cobwebs.
“It will be a good test playing in front of a big crowd,” he said.
“Having played for the SIRU rep side I know a few of the boys so it wasn’t as foreign as you might expect.
“I’m just hoping its not a hot day.”
Lefevre said Thursday night was a chance to run through some plays.
“It was a pretty light run, nothing too strenuous,” he said.
“Most of us have been training either with the Steamers and doing our own thing but it’s our first hit-out of the summer.
“But the fact that there are six of us from the Steamers playing should make it a little easier.”
The Steamers Julie Murchie and Susan Curby will play in a seven-a-side game as part of the pre-match festivities.
