I was particularly interested in your statement that although the Albury Council barely passed the motion to support the above-mentioned movement when it voted on this issue last November, this “ultimately has proved a popular decision as far as the majority of the community has been concerned”.
I strongly dispute the notion that the council’s decision is popular since I have never spoken to anyone who is in favour of same-sex “marriage” and I have been on this planet for a long time (77 years in fact) and have met many people in various parts of the country, having worked in three different states during those years.
We are told by journalists that surveys indicate that the majority of the population support same-sex “marriage” but I believe these surveys are seriously flawed, and not just because I have never been asked my opinion on the subject.
