Three sets of twins start their education tomorrow at the school.
Sisters Isabella and Payton Fairley-Brown, and Jennifer and Bianca Shipard, all 5, are among the three pairs who are eagerly ready to learn and make their first visit to the school canteen.
Each of the girls will take separate paths to different classrooms, but their mothers said they were prepared for the separation.
“Mine are ready for school and I’m ready for school as I’m going back to work for the first time in five years,” Kellie Shipard said.
It seems the only person who may not be happy about Jennifer and Bianca starting school is their older brother Justin, 9.
“I might start getting some notes brought home,” Mrs Shipard joked.
While mum Tammy Fairley isn’t expecting Isabella and Payton to cry, it may be a different story for her.
“I might be lost without them because they are my babies,” she said.
Isabella and Payton have twin siblings, also sisters, who will start year 5 at Lavington East this term and will be able to offer the younger girls their advice.
Most students return to Victorian and NSW schools today ahead of the prep and kindergarten pupils, who start later this week.
To coincide with the start of term, Wodonga Council has relaunched its “Slow, stop, obey” school crossing safety campaign in a bid to remind motorists to follow the road rules in school zones.
