The club was broken into about 4.30am on April 13, 2004.
An intruder, or intruders, had attempted to force their way into the Golf Club Road venue, but were disturbed by security guards.
Less than an hour later, a man turned up at a nearby home, soaking wet, and woke two residents.
He fled the home and police had since failed to locate him.
Police yesterday released a photo of a man they want to speak to, but they will not reveal what has sparked their renewed interest in the case more than a decade later.
The image shows a shirtless man wearing wet navy tracksuit pants and socks and standing in a garage.
A spokesman for the club said he did not know what was behind the police plea for information over a relatively minor incident.
“I’ve got no idea why we haven’t been informed and the local police don’t know anything,” he said.
Police believe the club had been targeted for its Easter takings.
