Turkish footballer Arda Turan lost his temper, a boot and perhaps more than a little dignity when a call didn't go his way during a Copa Del Rey clash.

The Atletico Madrid winger decided the most appropriate way to display his disagreement with the call was to hurl his shoe past a referee.
The 27-year-old had lost his green boot during a challenge and apparently fuming about not getting a free kick sent it flying.
 
It is not clear if Turan intended to hit the linesman. If he did, he should stick to his day job, because his aim was poor.
The real victim of his temper was an innocent passerby who was forced to do a nifty sidestep to avoid the missile.
Not all was lost for Turan. Although Atletico ultimately lost the match to Barcelona, Turan only received a yellow card for his little tantrum when a red card was a real possibility.

Footballers behaving badly is not a new phenomenon. There was the almost unbelivable moment when Chelsea's Eden Hazard kicked a ball boy who would not pass him the ball.
Cristiano Ronaldo almost sparked an all-in brawl when he pushed Barceloa's coach Pep Guardiola coach. With a sneaky little leg swipe David Beckam brought down Diego Simeone under the referee's nose.
And then, of course, there is that what could be the most infamous head butt in history delivered by one of the most famous players Zinedine Zidane.
Maybe we should all give rising Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios a break. He simply requested his friends get off their f----- phones.
