The trio have been included in City's squad along with Jason Hoffman, Jacob Melling, who returns from suspension, and youth goalkeeper Marko Stevanja.

Making way for those six players are suspended custodian Tando Velaphi, injured trio Robbie Wielaert, Mate Dugandzic and James Brown and omitted pair Jonatan Germano and Paulo Retre.

Andrew Redmayne will don the gloves in Velaphi's absence.

If Kennedy was to make an appearance on Sunday, it would most likely be from the bench given he hasn't played a competitive match since August.

It would herald a homecoming of sorts for the lanky Socceroo who has not featured in Australia's domestic competition since 2000 when he strutted his stuff for the now-defunct Carlton in the A-League's predecessor the NSL.

Kennedy has spent the past six years at J.League outfit Nagoya Grampus after a decade in Germany.

Clisby crossed to City from Perth Glory a fortnight ago and Baharudin was signed up on Thursday for the remainder of the season.

Baharudin is a Singaporean defender who has 43 international caps to his credit.

The 23-year-old heads to City from Singaporean club LionsXII which plays in the Malaysia Super League.

Baharudin came to City's attention when he attended their recent 10-day training camp in the UAE.

"When this opportunity came, I told myself that I had to go all out because this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that may never come again," Baharudin said.

"I worked very hard, and I really enjoyed training with the team in Abu Dhabi and got along well with the other players. I am very happy that the coaches were happy with what they saw.

"I am looking forward to doing my best for the club and as an ambassador of Singapore. I want to make my parents and family proud of me."

Coach John van 't Schip was confident Baharudin would further bolster his squad as sixth-placed City works towards cementing a finals spot in the second half of the season.

"Safuwan is a mobile defender who is calm and composed on the ball and makes quick and good decisions," van 't Schip said.

"He impressed the coaching staff while playing and training with us in Abu Dhabi and we believe he will fit in with our players and complement our style."

City has the chance to further consolidate its place in the top six with a win against the Wanderers at AAMI Park which will be their first A-League game in almost a month.
