ALBURY’S Mark Jones took out the open class event in the opening round of the Skylift Hire and Rental summer series at the Lincoln Causeway track on Saturday night.

Jones won the four-lap race comfortably from Albury’s Josh Antone and Melbourne’s Brad Burns.
An impressive field of 92 riders raced on the night with Albury- Wodonga Motorcycle Club president Shane Glare describing the event as a huge success.
“It rained but then the track dried out and we had a good crowd come along,” Glare said.
“We had riders from Melbourne and Canberra and I think everyone is looking forward to the final round of the series on February 28.”
The feature race on the program later this month will be the Sam Baker Plate.
