Even the secretive radar-jamming system was hacked, as well as many other of America’s military secrets.
China has apparently managed to not only copy the F35 Raptor design but improve it.
This has enormous consequences for the Australian Defence Force, that has gone ahead and bought a powerfully expensive, highly vulnerable jet fighter that is supposed to protect Australia for the next few decades.
Clearly China, and probably Russia, have now got a strategic advantage.
Indonesia buys Russian jet fighters already claimed to be much cheaper and superior to our fighters, and possibly the F35.
The worst part of this cover-up is that successive federal governments knew about the stolen secrets and proceeded with this ultra-expensive purchase anyway.
Just revealed is that proposed new submarine projects are destined to go to Japan and they will cost much more than the Australian-built rivals.
Australian jobs and knowhow going down the drain, even though we can build better and cheaper.
The people have a right to be informed of these things.
