About 140 high school students from across the Border will play in the Steamers Cup gala day that has been bolstered by the inclusion of Murray High and Wodonga Secondary College this year.
They’ll join Trinity Anglican College, Xavier High School, Scots School and Albury High School in the seven-a-side round robin event.
Organiser Bruce Haszard said the competition, now in its third year, continued to grow.
“This is the most schools and most players we have had in the cup,” he said.
“It’s great for rugby.
“There are games from 9am all day with seven-minute halves.”
