The video, which was filmed at Volt Lane car park about 3.30pm last Thursday, shows the victim being punched in the head several times by another girl.
Despite the victim screaming, crying and asking her to stop, the girl continues to punch her as the victim tries to walk away.
After a short break, a second girl walks over and punches the victim as she stands with her hands on her face crying.
She says she will “hurt you very f---ing badly” and a third person appears to pull on the girl’s hair.
Inspector Scott Russell said police had been handed the footage by a member of the public and were looking into the incident.
“We’re certainly concerned about the acts of violence,” he said.
“Any act of public disorder or violence is of concern to police.”
Police had been called to the car park after the fight was reported by a member of the public.
“We were called to the Volt Lane car park in relation to numerous females fighting,” Inspector Russell said.
“We attended and spoke to numerous people who had left the area.
“What occurred is still under investigation, however some footage that has been handed to police has identified a number of offences.”
People can be heard in the background urging others to assault the girl and other people are heard laughing as she cries and is repeatedly struck.
Inspector Russell said there appeared to be both youths and adults involved.
“We’d be keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone who has information,” he said.
“It could greatly assist our investigation.”
