At least 100 cars are expected to take part in this weekend’s event at Hovell Tree Park.
Organiser Ron Franks regularly enters his two minis in competitions, but said it was time Albury had its own.
“I was saying to the club we’ve got to do something, we’ve got to make the club known to people, so I organised a show ’n’ shine,” Mr Franks said.
“My first car was a mini in 1968, I had a Morris Mini 850 and then I went to the family cars, but then I restored a mini coupe later in life and then did the Mini panel van.
“They are very popular little car they are, you get the kids coming up asking to sit in the car and have their photo taken.
“It’s a great day, you can find out what others have done to their cars and what hasn’t been done.”
The minis will go on a run up the Murray on Saturday leaving from Hovell Tree park at 1pm.
On Sunday, there are 15 trophies up for grabs in the show ’n’ shine.
People can enter the show ’n’ shine for $10.
It will start at 9am.
