The Victorian Seals coach praised the pair’s efforts to get to training and games despite being located three hours away from the Seals’ base in Melbourne.
“I’m excited to see what these two can do in the next five or 10 years,” Jacka said.
“Brooke and Bridget have shown so much, particularly given that they’re so young and are so far away from where we train.”
Dickie saw game time in the Seals’ 10-3 loss to the Cronulla Sharks on Saturday at the WAVES pool in Wodonga, and was joined on the bench by Johnstone for yesterday’s 10-7 loss.
Jacka said that while the girls saw limited game time, they were seen as the future backbone of the Seals.
