The two semi-finals and decider all went well past the 6pm deadline for play on the second day.
“Obviously the first win against Wodonga gave us the momentum and after that we always believed we could beat St Pat’s,” he said.
“But then we were coming into the decider against the minor premiers and after the tragic loss of Carmen (club president’s Jon Thomas wife) during the week it was always going to be tough.
It would have been easy to bowl and ease our way in but we talked before the game and decided if we won the toss we’d bat.”
