The Albury Racing Club has worked tirelessly in recent years to build the patronage of an event that has won both homegrown and nationwide support.
The city’s half-day holiday has previously been the catalyst for its growth but in more recent years the club’s focus has been about improving the aspects that ensure patrons enjoy their race day experience.
This year it’s an improved fashion and entertainment precinct club chief executive John Miller says will bring the glamour of the marquees to more patrons.
The main message to those planning to enjoy the city’s big day out is to make sure you’ve planned ahead; for the ladies that means having an alternative to those heels if you insist on wearing them; and for everyone planning to have a drink or two, have a safe means of getting home that guarantees that you have no chance of ruining the perfect day at its end.
