But this year’s Face of the Albury Gold Cup laughs off the question when asked about the comparison.
“I’m a bit more of a goof I think,” she said.
But Stephanie, 22, was all elegance and sophistication when it came to last week’s photo shoot for today’s Border Mail cover.
“I love gold cup. I’ve been going since I was able to. The first time I went I was in year 12 and had to wear the under-18 wristband.”
Today, Stephanie and her partner, North Albury footballer, Lachlan Taylor-Nugent will enjoy the event with friends.
“It’s a great social catch-up. Being born and bred in Albury I know what a big day it is,” she said.
“I love the atmosphere of the racing. I’m not much of a gambler but I enjoy having a go.
“Getting dressed up is fun, so is having a drink with your girlfriends.”
Stephanie is completing her media and communications degree at Deakin University online, with a major in public relations and marketing.
She combines her studies with a job as an air terminal assistant at Albury Airport, working for Albury Council.
Stephanie has chosen her race day outfit from My Changing Room in Albury, who dressed her for the Border Mail photo shoot.
She was one of 13 entrants and receives two cup tickets and a bottle of sparkling wine as part of her prize.
