Griffith became familiar to early morning Border radio listeners from 2007 to 2010 when he co-hosted breakfast shows on Star FM with Monty Diamond and then Lachlan Clark, known on-air as LC.
Star FM and The River boss Rod Winner said Griffith was an ideal successor to Poulton, who co-hosted The River breakfast show for four years with Luisa Pelizzari.
“He has certainly grown up and is out of the younger Star FM demographic and is suited to The River,” Mr Winner said.
After leaving Star FM, Griffith appeared on radio in Tasmania before returning to Albury to work on publicity for the Brad Jones Racing motorsport team.
He makes his debut with Pelizzari on Monday, April 13.
Poulton’s last day on-air is today.
He is leaving to run the Quest accommodation house to open at the former Albury tax office in Townsend Street.
