Stewards on Wednesday ruled Hall, who a day earlier was sensationally axed as the rider of Queen Elizabeth Stakes hopeful To The World, was now entitled to a 4.95 per cent cut of the horse's prize money in the $4 million race.

That could amount to $118,800 if the Yasutoshi Ikee-trained four-year-old can scoop the $2.4 million first prize in the $4 million feature on the second day of The Championships.

"I'm not upset about it and I hope the horse runs very well on Saturday," Hall said.  "It's great we've got these international horses out here in Australia and I wish Mr Ikee luck."

Hall successfully argued to stewards he had a confirmed booking to ride Ikee-trained horses World Ace and To The World throughout the Sydney autumn carnival, up to and including on Saturday.

Ikee, through translator Adam Harrigan, did not dispute Hall had been booked for the ride, but sought to question whether the jockey should be entitled to full compensation.

He said connections had no other option but to dispense with Hall, citing a lack of "trust and understanding" after Hall's efforts on three previous race rides and in a botched trackwork gallop at Canterbury.

Hong Kong-based Zac Purton will replace Hall.

"With the upcoming race on Saturday being important and of the calibre [it is] he [Ikee] believes there must be trust and understanding between jockey and trainer," Harrigan told stewards.

"In visiting Australia and to dedicate the horse to being here in Australia ... it was a very important campaign and we would like very much for Nicholas to explain why those instructions were not carried out.

"The reason for being forced into changing the jockey has been derived from [Hall] being not able to carry out riding instructions for the horse."

Ikee said instructions were issued to Hall to ride World Ace more aggressively in the George Ryder Stakes and Doncaster Mile while he was unhappy with the Caulfield Cup-winning jockey's handling of To The World in the back straight of The BMW.

Hall explained he had been shunted three wide around the third bend and was forced to retreat to seek cover. Godolphin's Hartnell eventually outstayed To The World to win the $1.5 million weight-for-age clash.

Ikee said connections also wanted World Ace to be trailing the first three horses in the Doncaster Mile in which the six-year-old raced from back in the field before plugging home for eighth.

"I'm terribly sorry he [Ikee] feels this way and I wish I could have explained my rides before now," Hall told the inquiry after defending his steering on World Ace and To The World earlier in the carnival. "The instructions weren't outlined as clearly as they were today."

The trackwork incident involved Hall, riding To The World, not settling two to three lengths adrift of a pacemaker with Tosen Stardom and Tommy Berry a similar margin behind To The World in a Canterbury hit-out. All three horses were intended to cross the line together.

But Ikee said both To The World and Tosen Stardom were forced to complete "excessive work" because Hall did not have his mount positioned correctly behind the lead horse.

Stewards agreed with Hall, who will still head to Sydney for just the one ride on Saturday, in that he had not received any bad reports from connections over his efforts.

"There was never any negative feedback and I never had any feedback to say I hadn't done my job correctly," Hall said.

To The World was a $4 second favourite for the Queen Elizabeth Stakes on Wednesday afternoon behind Godolphin's Contributer ($3.60). Tosen Stardom, a Berry mount, was the third favourite at $7.50.

Ikee said he was very confident both To The World and Tosen Stardom would run well in the race, which will also be the first and last start for Cox Plate hero Adelaide during the Sydney autumn carnival.

Real Impact has already won a group 1 for Japan in the George Ryder Stakes last month.
