The second meeting for those with general anxiety, agoraphobia, obsessive compulsive disorder and social phobia will be held in Albury tomorrow.
Co-ordinator Rachel Flint said about one in seven people suffered an anxiety disorder at some time.
She said while those with the disorder often struggled to attend, those running it knew that and made it as comfortable as possible.
“They are often relie- ved when they get to the meetings,” she said.”
“They report it is very therapeutic.”
Attendees share exp- eriences in a bid to learn from each other.
“It’s a non-judgmental place where they can talk about their disorder,” she said.
Meetings are held at Age Concern, Town- send Street, on the third Thursday of each month at 6pm for people aged 18 and older.
