LAKE Dartmouth: It’s been a bit cool up in the hills but the fishermen are still getting trout out of the lake and the pondage. If you are trolling around the lake, trout are being caught in the top 4 metres and then down deep at 8-15 metres with worms, mudeyes and tassies. Lures are also worth a try. In the pondage, try worms or mudeyes under a bubble float and you could get yourself a nice trout because a lot have been stocked in that area for two years now.

The kids are sending in some great photos of fish to give themselves a chance to win The Hook trophy — some have appeared in the paper and there are more to come.
If you would like to hear Off The Hook with Rex Hunt 7am-8am on Saturdays, you can tune in to sen.com.au/listen-live.
Lake Hume: Yes, there have been some good redfin caught this week and taken home for a decent meal. I know one fisherman who had some good feeds of them and, boy, can he eat them. Redfin were mostly caught with yabbies but get out and see what you can get.
Mitta River: Good-sized cod are being caught — one will be in the paper soon. Trout are being caught with small lures and baits.
