Award-winning jazz singer Michelle Nicolle entertained about 300 residents with her quartet.
The free two-hour event was part of Albury Council’s Music in the Gardens series.
The concert was the first in a series of five music events.
Sally and John Alker-Jones, of Albury, said the grey sky could not keep them away.
“I wasn’t going to be deterred from attending the first one for the season,” Mr Alker-Jones said.
“We brought our jackets, just in case.”
More concerts will be held next month and again in September, October and November.
