“Year after year you do get snow pre-season, but not normally this early,” Falls Creek resident Chris Hocking said. “Hopefully it sets us up for a great snow season.”
Mr Hocking took this picture of his four-year-old daughter, Lea, loving every bit of the frosty falls yesterday.
Temperatures dropped to minus four on Sunday night and the resort expects to get up to 15 centimetres of snow this week.
“It’s always exciting seeing the first snowfalls leading up to the season,” Mr Hocking said.
“A lot of people straight after summer are looking for the snowfall and it shows we are close to season proper.”
Ski season at Falls Creek officially opens on the long weekend in June.
