The Swans narrowly missed the finals last season but are expected to be one of the big improvers after being the most active club over summer.
Rookie coach Jack Neil has sparked a recruiting frenzy, with Mark and Adam Cole, Andrew and Matt Hill, Jarrod Stephenson, Jacob Collins and Brent Ohlin just some of the arrivals.
“The boys are as keen as mustard and can’t wait to start,” Neil said.
“It gives us a chance to see where we are at.
“I expect Corryong to be thereabouts again this season and if we can prove competitive I will be happy.”
The Swans v Demons clash is a rescheduled round 13 game, with round 1 to take place as normal next week.
