Art lovers, too, have great praise for a new art gallery. Library and museum users have nothing but praise for the library museum and its excellent staff. The council has worked hard at providing walking trails for those who still can walk so they can exercise and enjoy the beauty of our fair city.
But, quite frankly, our footpaths are a disgrace and this is more keenly felt by our most physically limited mobility scooter and wheelchair users.
So, I issue a challenge to any of our esteemed councillors.
I will meet you at Quickstop in West Albury. You then borrow my mobility scooter and do a loop around West Albury. Scoot down through Patricia Gould park, (in poor state after the recent rains), then along Padman Drive, around the private hospital and back up Pemberton Street to Quickstop.
I further challenge you to say, publicly, it was a safe and comfortable journey. Any challengers?
