“They were a bit short so I filled in to help the boys out,” Archibald said yesterday.
“It was just a one-off.”
Archibald kicked nine goals for Ungarie in the Northern Riverina Football League’s opening round match and plans to play more games for his home club this season.
Fellow premiership player Matt Dwyer made his return from a knee reconstruction in Yarrawonga’s 180-point reserve grade win over Corowa-Rutherglen.
He kicked three goals in the percentage booster.
